SYSTEM SETUP

To get to the System Setup: Go to GiftTracker\System\System Setup.

PRODUCT MASTER SETUP

For the order to be backordered the check box in the product master must be set.

PACKING SCREEN

If backordered, the line item turns Orange, there is a column stating Qty. BO with units, and a report would print at the packing station letting the customer know that the particular item is on BO and the estimated date of arrival (Resupply Date in Product master/Inventory). When a pick ticket is saved with any item with a QTY BO > 0, GiftTracker will automatically print a backorder notice, if the new system flag "Packing Print Backorder Notice" is enabled. There is also a Print Backorder Labels check box (if the Backorder Label Report: Report file to use for printing backorder Label notices during packing) is set then a backorder label will print the labels.

The Summary button will show items that are not Packed and indicate what items can be vouchered and will list the first substitute item number setup for each item in the item master. (if available).

If there are items still open in the packing screen when a packer has completed scanning everything that was picked, the packer will then click the Check Order button, GiftTracker then scans the open items to see if the item is in stock, needs a backorder notice, voucher notice, or substitute per the item master

There is also a check box that will allow the packed items to be hidden.

Below is an example of the Backorder Notice.

PACKING THE BACKORDERED PRODUCT

Once the backordered product is received and is ready to be packed. You will need to bring up the Pick Ticket with the backordered product and scan it out. The product will then turn green and when it is saved the BO Date will be filled in with the date it was packed.
