System Setup for POS Module

The flags in the system setup must be set before you start taking orders.

  • Inventory Tab: Next POS Number: Next POS Number to use when adding.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Deduct Inventory: Flag to deduct inventory when saving POS orders. 0=do not deduct. 1=deduct inventory.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Discount: Discount to use for POS order line items.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Lock Discount: Flag to lock the discount when adding items to POS orders. 0=unlock, 1=lock.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Lock Price: Flag to lock the price when adding items to POS orders. 0=unlock, 1=lock.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Price Structure: Price structure to use for item prices when adding POS orders.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Report: Report file to use for printing POS orders.
  • Inventory Tab: POS Tax Jurisdiction: Tax jurisdiction to use for taxes on POS orders.


Using the POS Module

You can open the POS module under Orders/POS Orders.

After selecting the POS Order the below window will show.

Adding a order

To add an order you will need to select the Add button. The window below will show.

HEADER

The POS Order number will increment by one based on the starting number you set up in the system setup. System/System Setup/ Inventory Tab/ Next POS Number. Next select the payment type from the drop down that you will for this transaction. Next enter the Customer Name and then enter either the Check or Credit Card Number that was used to pay for the items.

Detail

In the Product No. either type the Item number or use the Big Binoculars to select the Items. If the Quick Entry box is checked it will add the item automatically to the order and will use the default Units Ordered (1).

If you wish to delete an item highlight the item and hit Delete on your keyboard. The below screen will appear. Click " Yes" if you wish to delete.

After you enter all the items Click on the " Save" button.

Printing a sales Receipt

After Clicking on the Save button a Sales Receipt will be ready to be printed. You can also reprint the receipt by clicking on the " Print" button.
